Chapter 53: Gerai makanan Japanese BBQ @ taman Desa

My friend tagged about this restaurant on my Facebook, after reading about the article, MON and I decide to check out the place = D

It was hidden inside taman desa Neighborhood, but MON grew up in Taman desa. Without checking the address, he actually recognize the back alley of plaza faber.

initially planed with my fren but end up me and mon just crash in the place even it's pouring heavily.

Sorry for not taking much photos of the place, but it's really a great place for a small group of friends to chill and have a drink to cool down. *wink*

list of menu

very basic bbq pot
love the charcoal buring feel <3

highly recommended: GENGHIS KHAN ~ RM 20.00 (portian can feed 2 small eater)
It's the only lamb dish in the menu.
The lamb is actually not a BBQ dish, it's marinated with their home recipe sauces and it's not cook. (love it so much that we actually addicted to the taste, serve with rice and BEST COMBO with a COLD BEER )
we ordered 1 plate of vege ( onions and cabbage)
it's the ouhhm part to add all into the pot and soak all the lamb essences (sinful!!!!)
Japanese Risotto RM6.00
it might look not appetising, but it's quite surprisingly how it turns out to be real good = D

For BBQ, we just ordered a few in the list, since it's just 2 of us.
pork belly(RM10.00), neck,(RM10.00) beef steak(RM25.00), tongue (RM10.00)
for those meats, i would say it's just really normal that we can do it at home, but we do really love the atmosphere of the place

Definitely will come back = D

Gerai Makan Japanese BBQ
Center Court, Plaza FAber,
Jalan Desa Jaya,
Taman Desa off Jalan Klang Lama,
58100 Kuala Lumpur.
Business hours: opens daily from 6pm till midnight

maybe it's because just like having a drinks, chat and have some BBQ yet in tight budget ( compare to Korea BBQ~ it's much more affordable)

Chapter 52: mr chendol @ One Utama

Mon and i were kinda skeptics on those franchise stalls, especially when it comes to local desserts.
and here comes the MrCendol stall that setup at the lower ground floor in one utama.
we walk pass a few times but we dont dare to try (coz it's always empty) until one day, mon really craving for cendol and than~ we tried

Surprisingly it was not as bad as we thought.
Cendol was not bad in taste. The pandan flavors were strong enough unlike Cendol we normally had nowadays which is like jelly and barely can taste any pandan flavors.
However the texture is abit too soft to my liking, personally prefer a more "chewy/ sprinngy" kinda texture (sorry dunno how to describe that)

Cendol- Mangkok RM 4.00

The Gula Malacca was good thou, the sweetness level, the taste and most important is no burn smell ( i have experience bitter gula melaka at some of the cendol stall. )

Refillable GULA MELAKA that add the extra *Ohhmm* feel

if u like cendol, do check out this place~
MrCendol has 9stalls in ipoh and sri mantin is the head office/stall
