chapter 22: LOVE @ PETALING STREET.....

Today.. our task is to act like a tourist and explore kl ( it's petaling street to be more precise... kakaka) First of, we are gonna dress up like a tourist and then we will start our journey... and for your information, we are not driving today, we are taking LRT (Light Railway Transit) ^^

Ok, journey starts from Mon's place, Bistari Condominium @ PWTC.... and this picture is just to show you guys how we dress up for our trip today....

We depart from PWTC Star LRT Station!!!!


ticket: RM1.20 per pax to station Masjid Jamek

For your information, the nearest station to Petaling Street is actually station Plaza Rakyat and we choose to get off 1 station before which is, Masjid Jamek because we wanted to walk around look look see see a bit while taking some pictures....
like real tourist huh... hehehe.... xD

p/s : First step to act like a real tourist : Always get lost... and ask around for directions *wink


Ok, we head back to Masjid Jamek first and then we go the other way... heading to Petaling Street.... xD

Phew~ finally... we reach Petaling Street!!! and that's China Town! Our destination for today! Weeeeeee...... feel thirsty after a long walk... let's go and get a drink.... ^ ^



first station: The Famous "AIR MATA KUCING" (Cat's Eye Water)

*for your information, is not really cat's eye.. is actually longan + lo hon kor... LoL

Second station: Kim Soya Bean

Mon : Love it tooo!!! nice nice...


After some drinks and "taufufa" we feel a bit hungry now.... so let's go for some famous food around Petaling Street... Nom nom nom.. :D

Third station: the famous Hokkien noodle , Kim Lian Kee...

Seriously, i dunno how old is this restaurant, but i bet is at least as old as me... lol..

Nom nom nom nom.... OMG!!! DAMN GOOD! :O

Hahaha... ok a bit exaggerating.. but is really good... this restaurant actually uses charcoal to cook their food therefore you can taste the different compare to using gas cook... is something like how western people smoke their food with some aromatic woods... :D
Is definitely worth trying BUT this is non-halal, so for people who dun take pork, try at your own risk.... :P
the restaurant is just opposite Hong Leong Bank at one of the corner shop in the crossroad junction... easy to find...

Ok, before that, let us just explain ourself, we are not super big eater, we only eat a bit of everything so that we can try more food and SHARE with you people... we actually sacrifice our quota for the sake of you PEOPLE out there!!! Aren't you guys/gals feel so touched now?
So please dun say, " OMG~ look at them, they eat and drink nonstop...!! "

Mon was actually crying during then, "Oh god.. please forgive us and dun punish us ... we were just eating for the sake of others... IF you really want to punish, punish those who are reading this....." :P

Haha.. ok, lets get back to the main topic..

Ok, this wantan mee is actually very good as well... the noodle is springy ( doink doink).



and last station of the day is petaling street, "Ikan Bakar" aka grilled sting ray~ need to wait for 45mins


Mon: ok! it must be very good thats y everyone is waiting for it... guess i will wait as well... better be good................

Mon: ............ Uekkkks... OMG!!!! this is real suck!!!! Not nice at all...! >.<|| after waiting for 45mins... the stingray is not even grilled properly. The fish taste like being smoke to cook, rather than being grilled. can u guys imagine smoke stingray???!! and the fish is not marinated and the sauce is not nice + oily. 1 word to describe this, SUCK!! and because of that, i don't even bother to know what's the name of the stall, i just remember it's beside Hong Leong Bank. So FOLKS, remember when u go Chinatown and u see alot of people eat grill stingray beside Hong Leong Bank, don't bother to try.... LoL... it's really a waste of quota~ let's us round up the amount we spent today................... *drum rolling............... * total spent RM 37.50

transportation + foods + drinks for 2 pax!!! I consider it quite cheap... ^^
if anyone interested to spend a day trip at somewhere and you dun want to spend too much money while you can have fun plus having some nice foods, you can now go to China Town and try it.... Of course, there are still more nice food which we din manage to try because of limited space in our stomach and also because Yann does not eat beef.... :P

p/s : if you guys like beef noodle, there are two places in China Town which is famous for that. For soup based beef noodle, go to this corner shop kopitiam call Lai Fong (same row as S&M Complex) and for dry beef noodle, go to this shop call Soong Kee... ask around and people will direct you to that place... Is real famous and most of the locals will know this place.. = )

chapter 21: mon's birthday @ phuket~

18-0ct- 2010~

woke up 6 in the morning local time~ malaysia time is 1hour ahead of thailand time~ (which means 7am GMT+8)

haiyooo... what ever it is.. i still think it's kinda early especially after yesterday super gan jeong + adventurous + tiring bike ride around the city~


after packing everything (like sunblock, towel, camera, hat, and some $$........ Aarghh... i cant remember much about the trip d... sei mou~) than, we went for our breakie and wait for the tour guide to arrive~

it took almost 1hour + to reach the Rassada Pier~ (the reason why it took so long was because we stayed at Kamalan beach, slightly further up in the Phuket Island and we need to pick up other island hoppers...)



Finally.. We reach our destination!!! GREAT WEATHER as u can seee... super sunny~

it has been raining for the pass few days and guess that we are really lucky to have such good weather on that day! Weeeee~ ^^



Inside the boat is all fully occupied, where the passengers get the sheltered seats... and we though since it's a good weather... just get some tanning on board~ BUT I WAS SUPER WRONG~ once the sun rise till middle of the sky.. i seriously feel it's burning my skin~ and down to my cell~ PAIN (>__<)


Mon : BUT... I LOVE IT!!!! Weeeeee ~ Is supposed to be a beach or island trip.. how can we not enjoy the sun!!! d(^ o ^)b

Ok, so we reach our first station, MAYA Beach! ( one of the very famous international movie was filmed here... if not mistake...hahaha... i think the movie title is "THE BEACH") = P


Look at the colour of the water!!! Is superb!!!! Crystal blue clear... what else can a beach lover like me (Mon) ask for!! hahahaha.. Love it!

And we only have half hours to wander around the island or swim~ and since the water is like crystal clear~ we went for a quick swim........ :D




NEXT... ...

"BEWARE OF MONKEYS~ "

and this is Monkey Beach~ don't ask me why they named it monkey beach~
according to the tour guide, the place is called Monkey Beach because there are lots of monkey on that island/beach... But.. we only saw 2 monkeys.. and that 2 monkey are not afraid of any humans... so i am taking a guess, is that their pet? LOL hahaha.. how can any wild monkeys not afraid of poeple and walking around and eating those foods given by us... just my wild guess...

Mon : And of course, there were two more monkeys during then... look at the picture and you will know what i mean... hahaha :P

the tour also bring us touring around Phi Phi island which include Loh Samah Bay, Pileh Cove & Viking Cave and snorkeling~

All the island that we went to was superb... is all clean, and i love the colour of the sea water... is like blueish green... very very nice.... from the boat, we are able to see the fishes swimming in a group.... and not to mention, the corals... = )

yeah... we went snorkel in this beautiful place, but am just too hungry (tak larat /no strength) to swim or even move~ so just jump down the sea for like 5mins..... I SURRENDER... and left mon mon alone swimming~

after snorkeling... we head to an island near Phi Phi Don for lunch (30mins to arrive)


take our lunch at this cute little hut~ (it's on a new on-going developing island by Thai gov, I FORGET THE NAME~)
hopefully the next time we come here, we are able to see some new resorts and nice beach.. ^^

and it's not the end yet....... they bring us to another " dunno what is the name" island... (ahhemm.. excuse me, how many of u can remember all the name of the places that u went....... I BET is like less than half of u.. so don complain... LOL)



so we had another session of suntan on the beach.... (fall asleep on the beach is NOT FUN AT ALL.. especially u forget to bring ur shades.. u will end up BLIND..... NO JOKE U KNOW.... )

Mon : Couldn't see any colour at all for about 10minutes... everything was like black and white... so coool... :P




so, do get urself a shade if u planning to get urself expose to the sun for long hour~

We walk around Patong Beach while looking for something to eat and sight seeing a bit...
Mon bought a straw hat because the one he bought got flown off when we were sitting on the speed boat... kesian him, the hat only lasted for like few hours... hahaha

Then we came by to this restaurant where we had our dinner... a Thai restaurant.. but we forgotten the name.. :P
Well, we have a tendency to forget things which is not nice... Got what we mean? :P

Neway, the presentation of the food was not bad...
